Overview
This home is a reflection of a common story among South African residences—houses that, despite their size and potential, are not oriented to embrace their views or sunlight. Our approach was rooted in thoughtful design, beginning with a detailed spatial analysis and a deep dive into the client’s needs, ensuring every corner of the home served a clear purpose.

Sitting at over 400m² and spread across three storeys, the challenge here was not about adding more space but about making the existing spaces work smarter.

The redesign included a brand-new master suite, complete with a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, offering a private and luxurious retreat for the owners.

The kitchen and dining area were completely reimagined, now seamlessly extending onto a patio with a built-in braai. Large windows and stacker doors were introduced, creating a fluid connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces while revealing the breathtaking vistas that had long been hidden by poor planning. This transformation was not about excess but optimisation.

The client was thrilled to discover that by rethinking and refining the existing layout, they could fully embrace the home’s potential without expanding its footprint. What was once a series of underutilized spaces is now a home that celebrates its best features—open, functional, and connected to its stunning surroundings.
