House Gregory

Overview

Set amidst the serene beauty of an eco-estate on the Garden Route, this holiday home underwent a remarkable transformation during the pandemic, becoming the owners’ full-time residence. Originally designed for relaxed getaways, the house now needed to adapt to the demands of everyday living. The goal was clear: enhance the entertainment spaces, create functional work areas, and make the most of the home’s stunning views at every turn.

House Gregory

The home’s history presented both challenges and opportunities. Over the years, various additions had left it feeling fragmented, with uneven levels and disconnected spaces. Our task was not just to meet the owners’ new needs but also to bring a sense of unity and harmony to the structure.

Through thoughtful design, we reimagined the home as a cohesive whole. Entertaining was a priority, so expansive, light-filled spaces were created to flow seamlessly between the indoors and outdoors. Functional workspaces were integrated without compromising the relaxed, natural aesthetic of the home. And to honor its setting, we ensured that every major space framed the stunning views of the estate, inviting the natural beauty of the Garden Route into the heart of the home.

Design New Stories

The transformation was not merely architectural but emotional. What was once a patchwork holiday retreat became a place of permanence and belonging. When the owners moved in, they found their vision realised—a home that blends practicality, elegance, and a deep connection to its environment.
